- Led strategy and guided implementation for attribute-based access control (ABAC) across the AWS Identity platform, serving 600+ integrating teams.
- Used an early version of Claude on Bedrock to find integration errors across consumer teams at a scale static analysis couldn’t reach, before LLM code analysis was a product category.
- Cut on-call load by automating issue resolution and moving configuration to code; contributed to identifying and resolving zero-day exploits.
Staff Software Engineer (IC4) | Twilio | July 2021 - October 2022
- Led the organization-wide modernization of Twilio’s core billing and usage platform, including its migration to Amazon Aurora MySQL — written up on the AWS Database Blog.
- Tightened internal access controls around highly sensitive billing data to reduce insider risk, and kept PCI-DSS compliance intact through the migration.
Software Development Engineer (L5 / SDE II) | Amazon | July 2019 - July 2021
- Designed and built microservices on the Amazon.com retail stack, focused on protecting customer PII and staying available through peak events (Prime Day, holiday traffic).
Software Engineer (L3, promoted to L4) | Google | December 2015 - June 2019
- Payments compliance engineering: sanctions screening, AML risk scoring that unblocked product launches in new markets, and a customer-tiering service designed as an L3 that is still in production a decade later.
- Automated document requests for sanctions reviews, cutting manual review volume by more than half and raising customer response rates by double digits.
- Took over a Street View imagery quality-control tool mid-project when its tech lead departed; built the entire frontend solo and launched it to the global operations team reviewing incoming imagery.
- Java readability granter (65+ reviews granted).
